“Om Jai Jagdish Hare” is a very popular Hindi devotional song. It was written by Pandit Shardaram Phillauri in Punjab, India. It was composed in a roundabout year 1870s. It consists of praise of Lord Vishnu and a request to protect the devotee from sorrows and perils. Many non-Hindi speaking people also use it as a prayer. The song has been used in many Bollywood movies. A Hindi movie named “Om Jai Jagdish” was released in 2002.
